Louisville’s after-work crowd splits two ways: Downtown and Whiskey Row, the Main Street corridor of smokehouses, museum lounges, and steakhouses — or NuLu and the Highlands, the East Market and Bardstown Road rooms where the discount is the headline. Same city, different night. Here is how the cited windows compare.
Whiskey Row: the Main Street shift
Doc Crow’s (127 W Main Street) posts Louisville Happy Hour Monday–Friday 4:00 PM–6:30 PM at the bar: $5 well cocktails, $3 domestic beers, and Southern bar bites — fried green tomatoes, deviled eggs, pimento cheese & chips, fried okra, peel & eat shrimp. Proof on Main (702 West Main) posts Art & Aperitivo Hour every day 2pm–5pm in the lounge: the $14 aperitivo-and-bite pair plus $10–$13 Bourbon Breaks pours. Morton’s The Steakhouse (626 W Main Street) posts Power Hour Sunday–Friday 5pm–6:30pm, bar area only, with specially priced pours and bar bites — no item dollars on the venue pages, so treat it as a window-only row. Downtown is the district for a planned night: the clocks start at 2, the bar seats matter, and the food is part of the deal.
NuLu and the Highlands: the discount side
East of downtown, Galaxie (732 East Market Street, NuLu) posts happy hour Tuesday–Friday 4pm–6pm with 50% off all drinks — the bluntest discount in the directory. On Bardstown Road, Holy Grale (1034 Bardstown Road, in a former chapel) posts holy hour as the last 2 hours of service daily — Mon–Wed 8–10 holy hour, Thu–Fri 9–11, Sat 9–11, Sun 8–10 — with no item dollars on the page. On the Baxter strip, Flanagan’s Ale House (934 Baxter Avenue) posts Happy Hour Tuesday and Wednesday 4pm–7pm with $4 domestic pints and well liquors, $5 house wines and Lagunitas IPA, $12 sangria pitchers, and $8 select appetizers.

The call
One polished night: Whiskey Row — Proof at 2 for the $14 aperitivo hour, Doc Crow’s at 4 for $5 wells, Morton’s Power Hour at 5. One loose night: NuLu and Bardstown — Galaxie at 4 for half off everything, Flanagan’s for $4 pints, Holy Grale for holy hour at close. Check On now for which windows are live this minute; holy hour makes the Highlands the only side with a nightly last call built in. All windows above come from the venues’ own pages — full cards on Deals.
